Latest Newport Bus News
The Wright which recently was completely destroyed by a fire on Malpas road is confirmed to be that of number 15... More details as we get them.
Also, Newport Bus has introduced an all new route (21) down to Spytty Retail Park, where it would seem the entire cit center has moved too! It will be free for the 1st 2 weeks (22 July - 2 August). But this new route has already been cheated out of it's passengers by the new X74 service operated by Stagecoach in South Wales which goes to Spytty Retail Park straight after the bus station. And also, Newport Bus are back on the day trip market! Only doing a small number of trips using Sophie and Olivia (their Plaxton Panther coaches). If you would like a leaflet please fill out the 'Contact Us' form and we will be only to happy to send you one!

Where Are They Now? - Newport Bus Optare Solos
A few years ago Newport Bus sold off their Optare Solo after they proved to be some of the worst buses they have had. After reapititly overheating the desicion was made to sell them. Most ended up with Blue Diamond, such as YJ57 YCG,YCH and YJ08 PKK. Considering the trouble Newport Bus had with them thay have proved to be quite good buses for their new owner (Blue Diamond). Since their failure with Newport Bus, NB have not had one Solo since then and have moved to using Enviro 200's.
